The Lies of George W. Bush: Mastering the Politics of Deception
By David Corn

Subject: George W. Bush; Politics

This compilation of the lies of George W. Bush is a must read for anyone who fancies themselves a responsible citizen. It is incumbent upon every citizen of a democracy to be well informed about the persons and the policies of those who govern them. It is their right to be told the truth and it is their responsibility to verify what they have been told by their leader and to hold them accountable for their words as well as their acts. But this administration has "embraced paternalistic secrecy as a virtue" says Corn in his introduction. This in combination with the endemic deception makes informing oneself of the truth difficult. But not impossible as Corn proves with this well researched and carefully documented accounting of the most significant of the lies.
